Fundraisers created and hosted on the Pledge platform are free to set up and use – there are no subscription or per-fundraiser fees. Pledge is compensated via tips. Pledge has introduced an alternate payment structure where organizers can choose to turn optional tipping off, and replace it with our covering costs structure.
When optional tipping is turned on:
- Pledge covers all payment card fees for any donation $1,000 or less made using Pledge’s products on the Pledge platform: our Fundraiser Pages, Donation Forms, and Zoom App.
- Pledge does not charge any platform fee
- For any donations over $1,000, the nonprofit will receive the donation minus payment processor fees(no Pledge fee)
- Credit card fees of 2.9% + $0.30(includes ApplePay & GooglePay).
- PayPay & Venmo 2.9% + $0.49
- ACH 0.8% (capped at $5)
When optional tipping is turned off and covering costs is turned on:
- Donors have the option to cover the costs of the donation transaction (Pledge platform fee and payment processor fee).
- Pledge will charge a platform fee of 5%.
- Pledge will not cover payment card fees for donations of $1,000 or less made using Pledge’s products on the Pledge platform: our Fundraiser Pages, Donation Forms, and Zoom App.
These payment methods are processed through the fees listed below, separate from any tip or fee coverage fundraising model.
- Cryptocurrency Variable Network Fees & 3%
- Stock Donations 3%(capped at $3k)
- Donor Advised Funds 3%
For donations made on one of our partner's platforms:
- Pledgeling Foundation deducts payment card processing costs (~2.9% processing fee + $.30 transaction fee) from the donation when the donation is processed.
